OneTrackMind is a free planner for multi-day rides and drives. By using it you agree to these terms. In short: it helps you plan, it can be wrong, and you ride or drive at your own risk.
Routes, distances, times, road grades, gravel percentages, heights, fuel stops, places to stay, opening hours, border hours, sunset and weather come from open map data (OpenStreetMap), weather services, other third parties and riders. That information can be missing, out of date or wrong. Roads close, wash away, change surface and get regraded. Fuel runs out. Places shut or change hands.
Check everything that matters before you go and on the way: road and border conditions, fuel, accommodation, permits, weather and park rules. Phone ahead on remote legs.
Don't follow the planner or its GPX files blindly. Obey road signs, the law and local advice. Turn back when the road, the weather or your gut says so. Never use the app while riding or driving.
Road grades (Race, Pre-jeep, Jeep, Pre-single, Single) are estimates from map data and rider reports. They aren't a statement that a road is safe or suitable for you, your vehicle, your load or the conditions on the day. Only you can judge your skill, fitness, vehicle and equipment.
Motorcycling, off-road and overland travel are dangerous and can cause injury, death, damage and loss. You take part at your own risk. You're responsible for your licence, insurance, vehicle condition, safety gear, travel documents, and obeying the law in every country you travel through.
Founder-ridden routes and their stories describe trips as they were at the time. Routes, places, reports and ratings shared by riders are their own views. We check shared content before it goes live, but we don't promise it's accurate, complete or current, and it isn't our recommendation that any road suits you.
We link to websites, accommodation, tour operators, rental companies and other businesses we don't control. Any booking or purchase is between you and them, on their terms. Some links are affiliate links: if you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That money keeps OneTrackMind free. It doesn't change the route we suggest or how we grade a road. Marking a place as "booked" in the planner is a note for yourself; it doesn't make or confirm a booking.
Only share what's true, what you have the right to share, and nothing that puts anyone at risk. By sharing a route, place, report, rating or photo you allow us to show, edit, shorten and use it in OneTrackMind and in posts about OneTrackMind. Follow the rider rules. We can remove content and block accounts that break them.
OneTrackMind is provided free and "as is", without any promise that it's accurate, complete, available or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, OneTrackMind and the people behind it aren't liable for any loss, damage, injury, death, cost or delay arising from using it, relying on it, or being unable to use it, including from mistakes, missing information or anything shared by riders or third parties. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can't be excluded, including the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
We may change the planner and these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Using OneTrackMind after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. Questions, mistakes you've spotted or complaints: [email protected], or use Send feedback in the planner. See also Privacy.
