Etosha from Namutoni
A white salt pan the size of a small country, and animals that queue for the waterholes.
Etosha is a self-drive game park done right. The pan is huge and blinding, the roads are gravel, and the waterholes are where everything happens. Pick one, switch off, and wait. Something always turns up.
We came in through Namutoni on the 2020 trip. I'm not a patient man, but an hour at Klein Namutoni waterhole fixed that for a day.

Good to know
- Motorbikes aren't allowed in the park. Bikers need a car or a guided drive.
- Stay at the camps inside the park so you can be at the waterholes at sunrise.
- Gates close at sunset. They don't wait.
