Tavullia and the VR46 MotoRanch
Valentino Rossi's home town, where the whole village is painted yellow.
Tavullia is a small hill town near Pesaro that is entirely devoted to its most famous son. The flags are yellow, the speed limit signs say 46, and there's a fan club shop and café that feels like a shrine. Down the road is the ranch where Rossi trains on dirt.
I went in 2018 as a grown man with grey in my beard and bought a cap anyway. No regrets.
