The story
A day flight via Dubai, no sleep, then a Fiat 500 for the ultimate road trip to Bologna. Lamborghini, Pagani, the Ducati museum for the first time in ten years, the back roads to Venice, single track both ways, very Italian. EICMA for the 790 Duke and the Adventure prototype. The Alfa Romeo museum, a bucket list tick. MV Agusta closed, so I asked security for a factory tour. Ten minutes later I had my own guide. Turin to finish. If fuel runs through your veins, go.
Good to know
- Venice parking fills up. Park at Mestre and take the train in.
- Ask nicely at the factories. It works more often than you'd think.
- Check museum opening hours; some only open in the afternoon.
